Nothing looks as pleasing to the eye as a well created forest on the battlefield – problem is that commercial ready made modelling trees can be a tad expensive – so i thought I will try and make some cheapo trees with what I got on hand.
They were based on free newspaper DVDs (some naff Roger Moore films), flocked with static grass. The trunks were conifer branches that i snapped off from my garden and the foliage was lichen that i had bought from my local Hobbycraft – i used a hot glue gun to glue the thing together and manged to really burn one of my fingers… so be careful 😛

So cost wise… the DVDs was for nothing, so was the conifer branches – the lichen was £4 and the basing flock was £4 and I made 9 trees and haven’t even used a fraction of my materials 🙂
