Went to my Aladdin’s Cave yesterday to get my first Carnifex and the quick shade to finish off my Secrets of the Third Reich army. Also had a couple of games of warmachine with my Khador against James Grove’s Everblight. Here is how the first game went….
Deployment

Turn 1: Very little action – both armies advance

Turn 2: The big infantry dudes of the everblight (really sorry! forgot the units name – James help!) push forward onto my Assault Kommandos – who luckily pass their command roll due to the fear the everblight unit cause. In return my Kommandos fire back… terribly causing sod all damage.

James big beasties lurk in the terrain, ready to charge. My Jacks advance forward

Turn 3: My Destroyer Heavy jack fires a cannon round at the Big infantry dudes – causing good amount of damage across the unit but sadly no actual casualties. My Juggernaut pulls back – hopefully to gain a counter charge next turn. While my warcaster fires her pistol at the big dude and…. misses ![]()

Stupid me!!! i forgot to cast wind rush on my warcaster – now her armour is low and is now very vunerable. James totally sees this and unleashes two focus heavy attacks from his warcaster at mine – totally overkilling her. Victory to James’s Everblight

Lessons Learned…
1) James really knows his Warmachine/ Hordes ![]()
2) Never forget to cast wind rush!!!!
3) I suck at warmachine!
Since that game was brutally quick – we had a rematch – luckily i had Lelan to help me with tactics (spearhead attack at the enemy warcaster) and managed to scrape a victory..barely. But it was only through Lelan talking me through step by step – so credit to him
Really enjoyed the games and was good to play on a properly done out board. Oh and here is a pic of James’s excellently painted warcaster…
I for one cant wait to see how the rest of his army turns out
